Dongguan is the heartbeat of the global watchmaking industry. Every year, hundreds of watch brands are born here — drawn from Europe, the Americas, and across Asia — entrusting their craft and production to this remarkable city. The watches made in Dongguan are not merely products; they are proof of what Chinese manufacturing can achieve at its very best.
The father of SCAGLIA’s founder, Allen, is one of the quiet architects of that legacy. For over two decades, he built and ran a watch-hand factory in Dongguan — supplying precision components to some of China’s most recognized watch brands, and to a number of distinguished independent labels from Europe. A watch hand may be small, but it carries the soul of every timepiece: pointing to the hour, marking the second, embodying precision.
The Founder
From engineering school to the design table.
“While other children played, Allen watched — listened to the rhythm of machines running in perfect time. Twenty years of immersion do not leave you. For Allen, watchmaking was never just a family trade. It became a language.”
Allen graduated from a Chinese university of science and technology, where he specialized in CAD and three-dimensional modeling. Before a single component is ever machined, every curve of the case, every angle of the dial, every tolerance is resolved in digital space — refined, verified, perfected.
His father gave him the factory floor. His education gave him the drafting table. In 2025, Allen brought both together and founded SCAGLIA.

2000s
The factory is founded
Allen’s father establishes a watch-hand manufacturing facility in Dongguan, supplying Chinese and European brands with precision components over the course of two decades.
2010s
Allen grows up in the craft
Raised amid the rhythms of manufacturing, Allen develops an instinctive feel for watchmaking. He goes on to study engineering and design, specializing in CAD and 3D modeling.
2024
Brand development begins
Allen consolidates family production resources, completes 3D modeling and quality validation for the first collection, and defines SCAGLIA’s visual and design identity.
2025
SCAGLIA is born
The brand officially launches from Dongguan, carrying twenty years of family craft into a global market — with a clear mission: to make genuinely well-made watches accessible to everyone.
